Meet Our Founder
Elena always knew she wanted to build something creative—she just took the scenic route getting there. From studying History of Art and Visual Culture at the University of California, Santa Cruz to designing exhibitions for the likes of the San Jose Museum of Art, and select galleries across San Francisco to making waves in Silicon Valley as a tech marketer, her career has been anything but linear. But every twist and turn led her to Artus Operandi.
Seeing a major gap in the art world—a lack of approachable, budget-friendly art consulting services for the art-curious—Elena knew it was time to shake things up. “Love of art and design is universal, but the art world makes collecting feel exclusive and intimidating. I started Artus Operandi to change that—to make discovering and owning art easy, accessible, and fun.”

With a strong pulse on the art market and deep roots in the San Francisco Bay Area art scene, she’s passionate about connecting rising talent with those looking for meaningful, standout pieces.
